Our History: You asked for it, You got it...Red Tyde is all about you!

August '96: Dan Lavelle meets Adam Brower at a routine jam session with their friend George. Adam asks Dan to jam with him and possibly be in a band.

September '96: After jamming for a while, Adam and Dan recruit guitarist-turned-bassist Jim Boemher(BoNr) to handle the bass duties. The trio is without a name and decides to record a demo of Kill 'em All songs under the name DysrhythmiA.

December '96: DysrhythmiA gets its first gig at Our Lady Mercy Academy for which they recruit Kelly Robertson to drum. The line-up: Adam-Rhythm Guitar/Vox; Dan-Lead Guitar; BoNr-Bass; Kelly-Drums. As they go on, Adam decides to change the band name to Red Tyde. Red Tyde goes through a practically flawless set, destroying the shitty Oasis and Nirvana cover bands. BoNr breaks a bass string :)

February '97: Red Tyde records its first original on tape, written by Dan, called "The Dark Veil". Tracks were also recorded for "Believe You Me" and "Disease", written by Adam. Only one copy of these original demos exists, and BoNr has it.

March '96: Red Tyde plays a small show at POBJFK's [shitty little] Carnival. They share the bill with Spagmump, a local metal band. Line-up: Adam-Drums/Vox; Dan-Guitars; BoNr-Bass.

April '97: "Disease", "The Dark Veil", and "Believe You Me" are re-recorded and put along with "Incinerate" and "Don't Come Home" to make the first Red Tyde demo, "My Customary Gruel Suffices".

June '97: Red Tyde plays the POBJFK Common's Fest, last in line. All but 8 kids leave and Red Tyde puts on a great show for them. Line-up: Adam-Drums/Vox; Dan-Guitars; BoNr-Bass, StageJumper(NR)...

August '97: Red Tyde plays what is possibly its best show, at Dan's block party. There they start a small fan base among friends from Levittown. Weeks of practice with temp-Drummer Joe Zizzo paid off in a perfect set. The band regrets not playing at a better time slot. Line-up: Adam-Guitar/Vox; Dan-Lead Guitar/Back-up Vox; BoNr-Bass; Zizzo-Drums.

September '97: Red Tyde writes and records 7 more songs, including "Cut Yourself", and "A Day In The Life Of...". They also practiced for an upcoming gig at Revolutions in Smithtown with Zizzo on drums.

October '97: Red Tyde plays a successful gig at Revolutions, only shadowed by the low attendance. Black Krystol is also on the bill. Line-up: Adam-Guitar/Vox; Dan-Lead Guitar/Back-up Vox; BoNr-Bass; Zizzo-Drums.

December '97 thru February '98: Red Tyde continues to write and record songs and plays small gigs around Plainview. The song total equals around 23 by the end of February.
